Flight Control System Engineer

The role is within Flight Control Systems team, which is a part of the Electrical and Avionics Systems group within the Engineering Directorate. The purpose of the role is to carry out System Engineering activities and Safety Analysis within scope of Flight Control System development.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Flight control system architecture definition and analysis
  • Flight control system requirements capture, specification, validation and verification
  • Safety analysis, including FHA, FMECA, FTA, PSSA, SSA, CCA
  • Preparation and review of system and safety documentation
  • Preparation of technical specifications and system documentation
  • Preparation of system test and reporting
  • Conduct system test activities at integration test bench, including data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Conduct ground test on aircraft, including data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Management of flight test activities, including definition of flight test cards, briefing/debriefing, monitoring in telemetry, flight data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Qualification of equipment and systems
  • Technical management of external suppliers
  • Liaison with Customers, internal and external, and with certification authorities
  • Conduct presentations at technical design reviews
  • Planning and monitoring of development activities
