Space Domain Awareness Services and Applications Developer

The Space Domain Awareness Services and Applications Developer is responsible within the group to model, develop and validate new algorithms in the field of Space Domain Awareness,
specifically targeting applications and services for Space Traffic Management (STM), Space Surveillance and Tracking (STM) and Space Intelligence.
The candidate must have a technical background with advanced studies on orbital dynamics and good knowledge of sensors used for SST and satellite.
Candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, yet independently able to research and propose technical solutions.


Activities/Responsibilities
Development and test of advanced algorithms in the field of Space Domain Awareness
Analysis and Simulation of new algorithms for SDA services and applications
Contribute to the deployment of SDA algorithms on a digital platform environment with specific focus on user experience
Participate to as member of the technical team to project reviews in the field of Space Domain Awareness

Competencies:
Master Degree in STEM disciplines (computer science, applied physics, mathematics,engineering)
Knowledge on astrodynamics and orbital mechanics
Capabilities in simulation, data analysis and modelling of space environment physical phenomena.
Capabilities in the definition of new applications and services in Space surveillance & Tracking(SST)/ Space Traffic Management (STM)
Good knowledge and experience of software such as MATLAB and Python
Experience of Agile development methodology
Knowledge of tools and libraries for astrodynamics and orbital mechanics (e.g. Orekit) and space environment modelling (e.g. ESA MASTER)
Knowledge of other scientific tools and data analysis tools
Proficiency in spoken and written English

Further Skills:
Previous experience in the field of SSA (Space Situational Awareness) / SST (Space Surveillance & Tracking)
Knowledge of tools and libraries for mission analysis (e.g. NASA/NAIF SPICE)
Knowledge of AGI Satellite Toolkit (STK) and Orbital Toolkit (ODTK)
Knowledge of other scientific tools and data analysis tools
Capabilities to support to design and analysis of space mission
